New Year – New Projects II – TA CR SIGMA

At the beginning of the year, TOPTEC became involved in a new project entitled Development of Laser Processing of Materials for High-Performance Electric Vehicle Batteries, project number TQ26000145.

This project is co-financed with state support from the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic under the SIGMA Programme.

The aim of the project is to develop and verify an advanced multi-beam laser optical head and an energy-efficient laser drying system for lithium-ion battery electrodes. The joint objective is to achieve TRL 5 and verify functionality on a pilot scale. This will support faster and more energy-efficient battery production and improve battery performance for electric vehicles through an optimized electrode structure.

We are collaborating on the project with Entry Engineering s.r.o., A-sys Co., Ltd., K2 Laser Systems Inc., SeoulTech, and Keimyung University.
